Co-creating with the scientists of tomorrow:
Shaping trials and the future.
Who took part in 'Running the Trial!' (Step 3)?
Can you believe 139 kids joined the trial and got randomised to the 'Try-it-out' group, who slept with a toy or comfort item, or the 'Wait-and-see' group, who didn't sleep with a toy or comfort item? You can see their ages, where they live, and what group they were randomised to below.
Out of the 139 kids who joined the trial 67 kids were randomised to the 'Try-it-out' group and 72 were randomised to the 'Wait-and-see' group.

Amazing! Kids from eleven different countries - Australia, Austria, Estonia, Germany, India, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan, United Kingdom (we put the UK and England into one group), and United States joined this step!
Kenya led the way with 72 kids joining!

The largest age group of kids (31 out of 139) who took part in 'Running the Trial!' were 10 year-olds. But we had loads of kids in other age groups too! Check out what ages the kids were here!
