Here are the results of 'Collecting the results!'

Our of 139 kids who joined the trial we created that we called the REST trial, which stood for the Randomised Evaluation of Sleeping with a Toy or comfort item, 101 sent us their results!

The largest age group of kids (22 out of 101) who took part in 'Collecting the results!' were 10 years old. But we had loads of kids in other age groups too! Check out what ages the kids were and where they live here!

Amazing! Kids from 10 different countries- Australia, Austria, Germany, Estonia, Ireland, Kenya, Mexico, Singapore, the United Kingdom (we put the UK and England into one group), and the United States joined this step!

There were about the same amount of kids who sent in their results from each group: wait-and-see (51) and try-it-out (50).

Next, we wanted to know if the kids in both groups used a comfort item before they joined the REST trial. Most kids used a toy or comfort item every night (40 out of 101 kids) or sometimes (42 out of 101 kids).

We asked the kids in both groups if they stuck to their instructions during the trial. Most kids did.

FINALLY, we asked the kids how sleepy they felt during the day and how they thought they slept overall during the trial. This is where the math gets pretty tricky so we're not going to put in all those numbers here.

BUT we will say that sleeping with a comfort item probably did not make much of a difference to kids' sleep that sent us their results in this trial.
